3mm thick Spanish calf leather with a gloss finish.

This leather, which comes from calves in the north of Spain, corresponds to the neck area of the animal and is only used to make straps.

The skin from the neck area is one of the calf’s most resistant areas. This leather undergoes vegetable tanning (with tannins), it is greased when wet, finished with natural waxes and polished with a glass roller, therefore the result is a soft fine grain leather with an appealing natural shine.

This leather is thicker (3/3.5mm) than the other calf leathers that we use, therefore only piece of leather is used to produce the straps. For this reason, those produced with this leather are the only ones that are not stitched and consequently, they are the cheapest.

Vegetable tanning is the traditional tanning method. It is called vegetable because only vegetable extracts from tannin-rich plants are used. At present, only 10% of the leather produced in Spain undergoes this type of tanning, the rest is tanned with chrome, an industrial process that is more aggressive, and which results in leather that is rectified and uniform. In addition to being the most natural and respectful towards the environment, vegetable tanning is the only type that can give the leather its unique characteristics.

These straps are available in two models: Granada and Classic.
This leather is available in 5 colours: cognac, cherry, chocolate, blue and black.
